1 week post-op!
Hello everyone, sorry I haven't posted anything lately, I've been pretty busy. I had my surgery on the 13th of November. Surgery was an hour longer, as Dr. Iqbal had to remove my gall bladder as well. Things went fine , I was in the hospital until that thursday and home, recovering and loving on my children whom had missed me so much.
I went to my one week post-op appt yesterday, with Dr. Iqbal, and he took the drainage bulbs out of me ( I swear they were like an extra set of boobs- always in the way) . The left side hadn't been draining well, but as soon as he clipped the tube, it drained all right. He said there was a lot of fatty tissue in the line, not letting the drainage escape. Thats ok, I didn't mind, Im just so excited that I can finally get a shower tonight.
Well the big news is, I lost 13 lbs.!!!! I'm on the losing side, I'm so excited
I will post more when I get a chance, right now I'm just focusing on the walking that I can do, which is 3 and a half blocks, 4 times a day, taking my kids back and forth to school. Thank you all for the wonderful posts and the encouraging words.....and if I don't get a chance to talk with anyone, please Have a very special Thanksgiving with family and friends and let us remember and pray for those that can't be with their loved ones this holiday season.
Dear charlene
what is your date? Is it lap band, or gastric bypass?
This is the "lap band" post section, is it not? Anyway, after
reading this I had forgotten you were so close. I wish you the
best, and I will be thinking of you. I'm still hoping on dec 15th,
but ins, co has not been contacted yet. So I'm getting sad about
that after all my hard work, and running around getting things
done.
Best of luck my friend.
