New Band -- what is up with the constant "BUBBLE"???

Had the band surgery Wednesday, 11/15/06. I have been feeling good. No pain, a bit tired, but all of the expected things. The only problem I am having is everytime I drink liquids, I get a bubble feeling....like in my stomach I guess. To be exact, right in the middle of my clevage (sorry, but it is the only way I can get specific!). Anyone else have this in the beginning? Is it from the stomach being swollen? Or just me getting used to that FULL feeling? Any input would be a relief. THANKS!

Paulette, I had my band surgery 11/6/06. Everything you are feeling is normal. Mine felt like indigestion. I also experienced trouble swallowing. I also felt like a pregnant lady. Smells would make me feel like I was going to up-chuck. Could not sip that broth either. Ended up using cup of soup and straining off the noodles. Went down much better. All that passed about 3-4 days after surgery. Now I'm drinking protein shakes (Adkiins is great) Will start fish Tuesday. Plan to have Salmon and mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving. Can't wait. Will stay in touch. Welcome to the losing side. I'm 12lbs down. Michielle G.

Thanx Michelle. I was concerned. Havent been able to get ALL of the Protein in my system the nutritionist expects, but then again, it has been only FOUR days.... Enjoy your Thanksgiving! I agree, I prob. will have mashed pot's too...and some form of fish...not sure what yet. I have been living on pastina in cream soups, oatmeal and water. I have to really stick to a timed menu. All good will come. Happy Days! ~~Paulette

Hi, The bubbling is just you getting used to your restriction. Make sure you are only sipping and not gulping (I am a gulper...lol) Also make sure you don't drink an hour after you eat, and a half hour before you eat! Welcome to Bandster Land!!!
