LAPBAND SURGERY, DOES THE INS. CO. LIKE IT BETTER??

Can anyone tell me if ins co. Are more pro. Lap band than gb surgery? Also did any of you consider one over the other, and why? Just wondering. I'm going for lap band. I'm not big on moving parts around. Just thought their was less risk. I guess I'm about 6 years thinking about this. Thanks!! Bridge

Hello, From my personal experience from talking to my insurance co.....insurance companies are quicker to pay for the band over bypass...where I had it done, band was $28,000 and bypass was $40,000!!!! I was banded 6 weeks ago today! I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!! Best wishes!

Hi! Barbara I think you would be good for me having just had it done. I hope I will be trailing behind you and asking away. Right now I have go and do that awful drink with the colk.' I hope I'm able to do it. I have trouble drinking stuff. I gag. I also have trouble sleep away from home. I still have to do that. Well I wll keep you posted bridge
