I have my date!!

Hi everyone, Sorry that I didn't make it to the Friday night group. Hope everyone is doing well. I found out on Friday that I was approved and I will be having my gastric bypass on 11/29/06. I am so excited!! Actually, I have always been excited now I am very nervous as well. Only 23 days. Then I went to the dermatologist today for my psoriasis and I have a a rash under my arm and he said if it didn't clear up they wouldn't be able to do the surgery on 11/29. Yikes!! Anyone else ever break out under their arms like this? He gave me an antibiotic so please cross your fingers for me. I have to go on 11/14 for my PAT's. Congrats on getting a date, Kim -- use the antibiotic as you are supposed to, and as an extra precaution, spread some Balmex creme on it. You can usually find Balmex in the diaper rash area -- it is a miracle creme -- no smell and I used to use it all the time on various rashes I got. Definately worked much better than prescription skin cremes that the dermatologist would prescribe. Let me know how you make out. Hope you can make the Lakewood meeting on Nov 20th! Hugs, Nannette

Hello, Just a thought did you change your deodorant or laundry detergent, or forget to put deodornat that day....... because one time I ran out of my reg. deodorant, went to the store did not have my name brand. So I purchased a different one (to perfumey) by the end of the day, I had a rash like a blanket under my arms,,...... ouch. Baby Balmex works great soothes the burn... Try to think back what changed. Most likely it is simple, but if you don't figure it out before it happens again, the doctor will not do the surgery because of liabilty reasons. Hope all is well. Babysteps
