I'm having lap-band surgery November 6 performed a 9:30am by Dr. Bilof. I should be on the losing side by 11:00am. I'm all prayed up by friends and family. I'm also looking forward to same day proceedure. No the Dr. has not said so but if I feel ok I will ask permission to leave. Come on it not like I want to hang around for dinner. LOL Well wish me luck and I will keep you posted.

Hi Michelle, Dr Bilof did my surgery and he knows what he is doing. As far as going home the same day, I don't think that will be possible. Although you are having the lap band surgery, it is still surgery and more than likely, you will be groggy from the anesthesia. You may be able to go home the next day if all is well. Best Wishes, Carla

Good luck Michelle! Take your time leaving the hospital - get all the care and support you can. Its true about the anesthesia - takes a while to recover from that by itself. All the best - chris

Michielle: You couldn't ask for a better surgeon than Dr. Bilof & Dr. Nusbaum. See you on the losing side - I know you will be a tremendous success! P~ www.weightlossnj.com - my story!
