Okay, has anyone ever felt like you couldn't stop losing weight? I'm almost a year out, I've lost 135lbs and I'm still losing. I do eat, but I can't eat anymore than I already am.. but i'm still losing.. people are starting to tell me that I'm starting to look unhealthy.. that was not my goal.. when will the weight stop coming off? How tall are you, how much do you weigh and what is your current BMI. I went through a period where people were telling me I was getting too thin. My BMI at that time was around 31ish... TOO THIN!!! It was the drastic difference that people weren't used to. I wasn't too thin - for goodness sake - I was wearing 16... And I don't know of anyone, anywhere that was wearing size 16 that would be considered too thin! LOL! They were just not used to ever having seen me look like a normal person. I go by the charts, and think that might be at least a starting point for you to consider if you're really too thin. If you have a BMI less than 25, AND you're still dropping weight like crazy, you should talk to your doctor or nutritionist. If you are in the category of BMI over 25, you are still considered overweight (by the charts) and probably have nothing to worry about. There are a few ppl that lose too much weight, BUT it's rare with the gastric bypass if someone is eating what they should be eating. You body will stop when it hits the weight that's right for you. i lost a lot of weight and was down to 135 within 6 months of having surgery when i started at 350, no one has ever been able to explain why. But I can tell you there was a good period of about a year where my name was the ethiopian girl.. LOL. Your body needs time to catch up and reform itself. Unless youre below a vmi of 25 you'll be okay. Make sure to get enough protien, but you have to eat other things otherwise its kinda like Atkins and thats not healthy either. Have you talked to a nutritionist, maybe a cinsult would be good for you to make sure you are eating properly. I still struggle with the right balance of foods 7 years later. Also if you have a b12 problem, it can cause rapid weight loss, you might neeed some bloodwork. This happened to me about a year ago and I started injections and it corrected itself.

Hi Cyndi, Thanks for the support and advice. I just had some bloodwork done a few weeks ago and I'm lacking in just about everything..Potassium,Vit.A,B-12 and so on...my doc put me on a potassium supplement and I have to eat a banana every day..I'm now taking a B-12 vit along with my multi-Vit which is Centrum Chewables, I take 2 a day..If the B-12 Vit's don't help I have to have a B-12 shot once a month...UGH...I try to eat more but I just can't...A nutritionalist? Insurance does not cover and I can't afford it alone..So I'm kinda on my own..but with the help of my friends here at OH!! Thanks, Tracy
