Pulminologist visit
Well I went to my pulminologist today to get clearance, but she wants me to have a sleep test done which is fine by me. They called right over to the center and had one for 11/26, then they asked me what type of surgery and i told them so now my sleep study is 2morrow night @ 9:30pm In TR.. Yea for me... I look forward to seeing everyone on Friday!!

PS its been 1 month since I quit what a difference in the taste of food and the smells... why did I even start again....
Hiya Charlene.
Some advice from a sleep study champ.... wear a loose Tee shirt and a pair of stretchy shorts, if you have them. they'll be hooking up wires on your chest and legs, as well as your head. If you wear stretchy clothes, they can pass the bundles of wires under the clothes easier. A nightgown is useless!
Don't drink a lot after 4 pm, because they have to come in and unhook you each time you have to pee! Other than that, it's not so bad... I wound up being diagnoses with sleep apnea, and using a CPAP machine at night. Once I got used to it, it did help! Good Luck! Mary (surgery scheduled 11/14/06, but CPAP'd since 2004)
Definitely agree on the clothes front. I had on a short's pajamas set. My info also said no caffeine after 2pm. Guess they want it out of your system.
Feel lucky if you only have to do a sleep study. My pulmonologist wanted a sleep study, EKG, echo, breathing test & chest x-ray. Thankfully, I got referrals for all of those so they were covered by insurance.
GOOD LUCK!!!
