Old Bridge Support Group

There is a bariatric support group that meets every Sat. morning at 10:30 at the Bayshore Wellness Center in Old Bridge (Gateway Shopping Center, Rt. 9 & Ernston Road). According to the flyer, you do not have to be a member of the center to attend the support group. I'm going to go this Sat., and will post afterwards.

Hi jane are you a newbie to the meetings at the bayshore wellness club and or anyone else going to attend a newbie there? I live in sayreville and I will be attending for the first time this Saturday, just replied to another person about this meeting, I was told about it by a woman that has gone to it. I met her at the Perth Amboy meeting which is for anyone, not like most meeting that are strickly for the docotrs patients or are mostly one docs patients.

Kelli, I live in Sayreville too (actually Parlin) and I'm a newbie to the meetings. I started at the wellness center a few weeks ago (once I got the ok from my surgeon) but somehow missed the info re: support group until last night. I'm hoping it's a good group, since it's so much easier than driving to Hackensack, where my surgeon's support group meets! See you there!

I would like to go - how far is it from Westfield do you think? I'm at 135 on the Parkway. Has anyone gone to this meeting before? I am pre-op (11/9)...don't want to waste a Saturday if it's not good.

Old Bridge is Exit 123 on the GSP south...you'd get off onto Rt. 9 South and the shopping center is less than 2 minutes from there. As I mentioned, this will be my first time at the meeting...maybe someone who's been there can post???

The flyer I bought home last night says to call Kate at 732-203-2322 for more information. When I called I got a message that said I had reached the Bariatric Angels - I left a message and hope to hear back from her tonight. I'll pass on more info as I get it!

Jane might I ask who your doctor was, I had mine in Hackensack also by Dr Capella and You?
