SUPPORT GROUPS IN CENTRAL NEW JERSEY

I will check out the one at Muhlenberg and hopefully I can get over there from work because I work in Piscataway so that would be a better choice right now, but I think that I am going to try to start my own. Thanks for all of your help. Treena

Dr. Jean-Baptiste, the Medical Director of the Bariatric Center @ Muhlenberg, holds his support group on the 3rd Thursday of each month at Muhlenberg. The next one is 11/16 at 5:30pm. I've been to 3 so far and they are well attended, informative and quite worthwhile. There is a program each month with guest speakers, food tasting, lots of bottled water and the entire office staff attends. If you want to go to the Nov meeting, let me know because it's a little tricky to find. It's not right in the hospital but on the same property. There is definitely a need for an additional support group in this area, Union/Middlesex County.

I would definietly be up for a support group in the Central NJ area. My problem is that I work in Mahwah and live in Somerset. Most support groups meet at an hour that I can't make it for, or, if they're close to my job, on a day that I can't go (Mondays). i was at Dr. JeanBaptiste's suport group last month and i really liked it. What a good group and something to look forward to. Most informative meeting around.3rd Thursday of every month except next month i believe because of TG it is Nov. 16th. See you there!

Hello to everyone, My name is Kelli I had my surgery up North with Dr Capella and his meetings are a hour away from me, so with that said I did find the one in Perth Amboy run by a nurse that had The RNY, this months meeting is held On November 30th because she is having surgery, and the next meeting will be on December 21st. Also I will be attending for my first time the one in Old Bridge it is every Saturday at 10 30. I am waiting for a call back to confirm this with the health club, because I was told it was at the hospital in the well center so please stand by as I get the info. I will know by this evening

Ok all is correct and its in another Post as well I was just called back abought the meetings In Old Bridge and yes they are at the Bayshore Wellness Center in Old Bridge (Gateway Shopping Center, Rt. 9 & Ernston Road). And the woman that runs it is Karen and the number is 732-203-2322 and the group is called the Bariatric Angels.
