Good for you and ask a lot of questions and make sure you feel completely comfortable with your Dr. because if you dont, you can always try another. Good luck Treena

Thats great news. I know you were checking out a few Dr.'s which one did you decide on? Also if you don't mind me asking how did you get yourself approved with Oxford. I'm just wondering because I have the same insurance and hoping it will easy. Helen

Thanks yes it was easy ..and my Drs. name is Dr Onopchenko, I got him through a memeber on this board. Dont give up ..and yes oxford does cover lap banding . write back let me know how you do..Laney
