Hi Marlene, I did look over to the left in the blue box under "insurers" and everyone else who had your insurance got approved on the first letter...but you do have to have medical necessity. Your best bet is to contact your insurance and find out who your preferred providers are.....any preferred provider should take the payment as payment in full...after all they do sign a contract saying that they accept the terms of the contract. I have never heard on any of the boards I have been on that anyone was billed for the balance. Best Wishes to you!

Marlene, you didn't say which part of the state you are from...I had my surgery at Virtua Memorial in Mt Holly by Dr. Gregory Mulkalian...He doesn't perform the procedure any more, but his former partner Christopher Boynton does and their practice took NJ Plus. I has to pay the usual co-pays, but this was all. Dr. Boynton is reviewed on this board, and has an excellent reputation. I have seen him when my own doc was out of town. He is a quite man, but very kind...All of his patients love him Kelly

I have NJ Plus and I can give you names of Dr's in NJ that is covered, but its not going to be 100%, you are going to have to pay some things out of pocket, like the Nutrional Classes and the Phyc Eval. And it depends upon where you go on how much that is going to cost. So, if you email me, I will give you the names of the ones I found. Treena [email protected]

I have NJ Plus. I called them today to ask what their requirements were (because I already knew it was a covered benefit for us) and was told that only the doctor can call to get that information. Huh. When I had my consultation with the surgeon (the same Dr Boynton Kelly mentions below) and also spoke to one of the nurses, they didn't seem to think approval would be a problem. We shall see. As for the payment in full...I imagine it would really depend on what type/level of coverage you have w/ NJ Plus. I know in my case, other than my $10 co-pays, I won't see a bill (assuming I'm approved, of course)! GOOD LUCK!! Dawn McG
