Scar Question ??

What type of ointment is good to use to minimize scar appearance? I heard Maderma was good. But I remember something about Vitamin E (it was mentioned at the Sept. meeting but I do not remember exactly). Thanks to all! Chrys

I have also heard about Maderma (spelling?) and people say it works well. I've also heard of people using liquid Vit. E for scars as well. They break open the liquid capsule and rub the ointment on. I haven't used either, but this is what I've heard of. Scars aren't as much as an issue for men... I have feet and feet of scars on my body, the hair also covers it Good luck!

i always used vitamin e oil which i purchased at drug store in a bottle. im not happy with way my scars look, so i just purchased Mederma and im giving that a try. according to the insert with the stuff, the scars can take months to look improved, so i guess i cant tell you much on how well it works at this point. good luck, jacki
