My Husband Isn't Supporting My Decision

I think my husband will come around. I was going to show him some before and after photos on OH so he can see what this surgery does to people. When I attend my next support group I will have him come with me because I will not be able to drive yet. I have to do this for ME not for him! Besides, he hates the fact that I am fat!

Sheri, I'm new to this forum but your post hit home for me! I go for my first consultation with the surgeon on November 9th. Now, my husband is probably about 300 lbs and 5'9" so you'd *think* he would fully support me. I'm 5'7" and 261 and I'm doing this WLS with or without his support. My 9-yr-old daughter is so excited about having a healthy mommy...she's never said "skinny". My mom is 5'6" and her TOP pregnancy weight was 115 lbs. I was a 9 lb. baby so you know how much my mom relates to my situation. LOL She's all of 120 lbs. now. LOL Just hang in there! Get the support from your support group or, best yet, get it here. I can't tell you how thrilled I've been since I found this site a couple weeks ago. Hang in there and know you're doing this for YOU!!!! Good luck! * Cyndi *
