OT - a part of
a wow moment -- to be a part of something so huge!!
Congratulations Philadelphia!
Thank you so much for making the fourth annual WALK NOW Philadelphia a day to remember! On Saturday, September 30th over 6300 people met at Citizen's Bank Park under sunny skies for the fourth annual WALK NOW Philadelphia! Emceed by CBS' Larry Mendte, and cheered on by the Phillies Phanatic, you raised over $650,000 for autism research. Thank you so much to those who walked, volunteered and donated. The day was a huge success. Nearly 60 community resource vendors entertained and informed families. Makin' Music Rockin' Rhythms and Spectrum Connections opened and closed the festivities, with special appearances by Wondergy Science Guys, Tucker's Tales Puppet Theatre, Magician Marc DeSouza, and more. Over 250 volunteers helped to ensure the day ran smoothly. Presenting sponsor Chevrolet raffled off mini Corvettes for participants.
WALK NOW participants turned in almost $200,000 the day of WALK NOW. We are quickly entering these donations as fast as our fingers will move! The scroll will reflect the total amount raised in the coming weeks. Please keep fundraising. It's not too late to qualify for great incentives!
Special thanks to our amazing WALK NOW Co-Chairs, Kathie Tomczuk, Wendy Tucker, Greg Fanelli and our planning committee. Without their hard work WALK NOW Philadelphia could not have been as successful as it was. And thanks again to you for helping make Cure Autism Now's fourth annual WALK NOW Philadelphia a memorable and successful day!
