OCWLS Meeting - Toms River

I have an update. Not a good one. I haven't been able to get to a Toms River meeting in about 2-3 months. I just found out that I can't make tomorrow's meeting there! My daughter, a junior (and a cheerleader) at Brick High, has been asked to sing the National Anthem at their "home coming" football game, this Friday night at 7:00PM! I can't/won't miss it! I do hate to miss group, but this might be a once in a life time thing...... I have to be there. I will miss seeing you all, and meeting all the new people I haven't met yet. I will see most of you in Lakewood in a couple of weeks. Have a good time Michelle Brennan

Nannette, I can't be there. I have a 40th birthday party to attend. I hate missing it and all the folks but every once in a while there are things you have to attend - this is one of them. Have a great time - see you in Lakewood. Donna C.

Hi- I am new at this. I just stumbled across your posting, and I knoe it has past. But generally what goes on during this meeting. Seems like they are monthly from the sounds of it. can you help me out? Thanks, Tim

Hi Tim -- Yes, the Ocean County Weight Loss Surgery (OCWLS) Support Group actually meets twice a month -- once in Toms River on the first Friday of each month, and once in Lakewood on the third Monday of each month. We are a group of post op or seriously pre-op WLS patients who gather to provide support and share experiences, ideas and meet others who are on this same WLS journey. We have been in existence for over three years, but are not affiliated with any specific surgeon or hospital. Toms River meetings are held at Community Medical Center, Aud A - 7-9pm. The next meeting is Friday, November 3rd. Lakewood meetings are held at Kimball Medical's Center for Healthy Living, 198 Prospect St, 7-9pm. The next meeting is Monday, October 16th.
