Hi everyone, I had my initial consultation with Dr J-B on Friday. I was really impressed with both him and his staff. I was wondering if anyone else had their surgery with him and what their opinion was. Please let me know. thanks a lot! Kim

I had my surgery last year with Dr. JB. Everything was wonderful and beyond my expectation. My recovery was great.I stayed in hospital overnight and never had any problems. Lost 95 lbs. i reached my goal!!! You are in good hands.

I just love Dr. JB.He's the best. I had bypass this year and everything great. Everybody there make you feel special.Good luck!!

I probably could be, if not I AM, the poster child for Dr. JB.... He is the best for LAP RNY right now. He is state-of-the-art with his procedure and methodology. Dr. JB is not just a great surgeon, he is a caring, patient-sensitive, brilliant MAN who knows that his patients' comfort and success depend on his skill and protocol. I researched for 14 months before choosing him and I am so glad I chose him. I am 9 weeks post-op... no complications, no problems and have lost 50 lbs. He is a "work-in-progress" as the new MEDICAL DIRECTOR at MUHLENBERG REGIONAL MED CTR and so with that comes the new office staff, nutritionist, patient coordinator, etc. It is my opinion that his group is now at the caliber that is required for a top-notch surgeon like, Demesvar Jean-Baptiste. Kimberly, Dr. JB is the man!! None better!! I had WLS three months ago. it was practicly painless and it was the start of a whole new life for me. If you want to know what folks think of Dr. JB then please come to our group meeting on the third thursday of October, you will be glad you did.

I echo the sentiments of everyone else. I, like Shelly, researched many doctors and ruled them all out when I met Dr. J-B! I like the fact that his practice is still small and intimate, he knows all his patients by name and he is genuinely interested in you as a patient! He never rushes you, answers your questions in person and by email and is very sincere and caring! I got my approval today and Dr. J-B called me himself to tell me! His background is impressive, he did a fellowship at U of Penn in bariatric and lap surgery and also trained under Dr. Nusbaum, another well respected bariatric surgeon. Dr. J-B wants to make the Bariatric Center at Muhlenberg a Center of Excellence and that shows me that he knows his stuff! Hi Kim, You are going to absolutely love Dr. JB. He is a GREAT surgeon and has an even better bed-side-manner(which is a loss art among lots of physicians today). He really does care about you as a patient. I had a cholecystectomy done by him and I had my Lap bypass done by him also. I have had absolutely NO PROBLEMS and I feel that I was blessed to come into his path for this surgery. Good luck.
