4 DAYS POST OP

Hi to all, I had my RNY on Tuesday and all has gone fairly well though I'm still using the foley bag due to water retention but I'm home and walking around. T-G for lemon-glycerin swabs, Art

Thanks for your thoughts... The swabs (like giant Q-Tips) were given by the hospital to moisten your lips during the non-drinking stage

I'm glad things are going well, and hope they continue to do so. You'll feel better each day - especially the days you get to see the scale move!!

congrats Art on a job well done nice to see ya home and sitting up lemon/glycerin swabs??? i'll have to ask hahaha ross only had ice water swabs can i come home with a foley bag too???? then i won't have to roll over and get off the couch as much ;) only kidding take care roberta

Thanks, The swabs worked great and I couldn't imagin going through the proceedure without something like them... Mr. Foley left today T-G... I thought I was carrying around a purse...lol Art

I am so happy that you made it through surgery so successfully. Did the dr. give you any idea as to when you can lose the foley? Goos luck to you and keep up the walking around. It must be good for you!
