Fiber
As a gastric bypass patient, my focus is on protein. There are issues without it, e.g. Your hair falls out.
However, all this focus on protein takes away from fiber...25-30 grams a day. Doesn't sound like much right, but that's a lot of damn fiber.
Fiber is an important part of anyone's diet. No one wants colon cancer. So, do tell, do you get your 25-30 grams, and how the heck do you do it?

i dont get enough of anything yet, its really hard.
i cant get in enough fluids and for sure im not getting enough protein.
i guess its a learning process.
but didnt u say you have a salad most days in another post??? thats a great source of fiber
also, there are all these fiber powders they are advertising on TV lately. shows a mom adding it to drinks, cooked food. just a thought.
good luck, for sure fiber is important. hugs, jacki
Benefiber has 3g of fiber per serving, pretty much the same as an apple. I didn't realize how little fiber these supplements give you, compared to daily needs.
You would need to have 8 apples or 8 servings of benefiber to meet your daily requirements. In contrast, one serving of ISOPURE can help you meet more than 1/2 of your daily protein requirement.
After my research, high fiber cereal seems to be the most condensed way to get the fiber in your body. One serving can have up to 14g of fiber, over 1/2 the minimum requirement. However, you have to be so careful, because some of these high fiber cereals have added sugar.
I just found something online called FiberChoice Fiber Drops
Looks like there are 4 grams of fiber per drop. Supposed to be low sugar.
I'm going to ask my NUT about it when I see him next week
