Hello everyone, I'm two months & 2 weeks post-op! I have lost 60pounds so far and I extremley happy about that but, I have gotten to a point where I don't wanna eat anything because I'm so tired of the same darn foods!!!!!! I lost the taste for chicken since surgery it makes me very sick just to smell it, I'm allergic to all seafood except tuna (I know thats really weird but true) So the whole tuna, eggs, and turkey thing is really getting boring.. Does anyone have any good food suggestions???? My birthday is also on september 21 and my family wants to take me out to dinner But, I don't know where to tell them to take me.. I live in the southern jersey area I would love some input on that too.... Thank you so much

hey, I am going to be 2 months out on the 20th, have u tried deli meats and cheeses, I take ham and put alittle mayo and mustard and roll it up thats my sandwich for me, also I like turkey hot dogs, turkey breakfast sausage to me is ok, haven't tired turkey sausage, or the ground yet but I hope this helps , also if u want a protein snack, get hormel turkey pepperoni and microwave it on a plate for one min and there u got chips good for keeping in the purse, hope this helps Becky

Jacki~ What about tomatoe rice? Are we allowed to have that? I love tomatoe soup! I have to get all my "lists" together of what we are allowed to eat, and make 1 list. I have about 3-4 of them. I need one list to look at, it's too much research right now to find what to eat, so I stick to the same thing...... protein drink, meatloaf, pastina w/ragu.... water, flavored water.......all getting old right about now. michelle

Hi Michelle, I went to the dietician on Thursday, she said absolutely no tomato soup until 4 weeks out due to the irritation of the stomach and esophagus from surgery. She was adamant about it. I was a little bummed, tomato soup is my fav. (dang) Take care, Barb

Well--it looks like I've got another 10 days until tomatoe rice soup, oh well.. I will make it. Food always looks and sounds good to me, but I never really like the taste since surgery, but it might be because I am watching the clock all the time, timing my eating and drinking and it's a lot at the beginning. michelle

Hey Jacki - everytime I try to send you an e-mail at the address you provided at the OCWLS Mtgs, it bounces back that you don't have a Yahoo address and fails. Would you please send me your correct e-mail address. Thanks. Nannette

Hi Roberta, Do you and Ross go to the support meeting at Pennsylvania Hospital. I had surgery there in June, I had Dr. Schurict. Was wondering as if you do I might be at the next one and I would stop and say hello. Happy Birthday to you. Jeanne
