Hi Barbara: I was nervous. There was the "calm before the storm" kind of feeling as the day grew closer. The night before I really had second thoughts...heck, I had 3rd, 4th and fifth thoughts...LOL. But my husband and I talked and talked... and I realized that I did the research, the tests, all the paperwork... and I was really ready for this "new little tool" to level the playing field for the rest of my life. The morning of surgery I was calm and relaxed. I was resolved! Fear is like a muscle... you exercise it and it gets bigger... you need to embrace it and then throw it away. I am 8 weeks post op and feel fantastic. I have no complications, no dumping, sleep better than I have in 30 years and have lost 50 lbs. I eat everything that is healthy and good for my body. I savor the taste of food now after all the phases of early post-op are gone. THIS IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE ABOUT MY WEIGHT PROBLEMS!!

Hi ShellyAnne, Thanks for the support. That was last week...lol. I went to see the anesthesiologist and had bootcamp this week. That helped ease my mind alot! I think it was because I hadn't been in touch with the doc in such a long time, I think I was just letting my imagination get the best of me. My husband is finally okay with the surgery and went to bootcamp with me, I feel so much better now. We even shopped today for my post op stuff. 12 days to go can't wait!!!! Take care, Barb
