Upset
I know it must be upsetting but try to think of it as it was meant to be. Maybe there is some reason you were not supposed to have the surgery that day. Did they say why they cancelled it? If you do not wish to share the reason I understand. I am curious because I am using Dr. Bertha and want to be aware of some of the possible delays I could run into when I get to that point.
Hey Ian:
Dont be upset ... be positive ... I also had Dr Bertha as my surgeon and he really did what was the best for me ... in my surgery he also had a second physician (Dr. Paplova (sp?)) who was a part of the practice in May of 2006, when I had the RNY surgery done.
I was very pleased with Nick Bertha and he is very competent from all that I have seen. My sister is a physician in Morristown and she recommended him for the surgery and it worked out great (87 lbs since May 1st).
Good luch to you and just think positive!!
Michael
I have a friend who works at Morristown Hospital and that practice has an excellent reputation. Try to look at it as a positive thing because they are doing what is best for you as the patient. My PCP thinks so highly of Dr. Betha that when I had an issue with him not taking my insurance he said he would rather me see if I could work it out with Dr. Bertha's office than recommend another surgeon. Your new surgery date will be here before you know it.
Ian~
I can feel your pain, a delay is frustrating.
I don't know if you are a religious man, but I always tell myself "Only God knows the big picture" when something happens that I just can't wrap my mind around. But if you trust God, you have to know that He works all things together for you... you may never know why this happened, but trust in God, he does
God bless and Godspeed in your healing too!
