I have really bad consti too even before surgery. It actually hindered my weightloss because I have to eat fats to go and it was pure hell not to mention once a week if I am lucky. I drink tons of water but my body is stubborn. So Dr. Rothkopf prescribed Polyethylene Glycol Powder. It dissolves in any liquid and is supposely gentle on the stomach. Talk to your Doc.

I have constipation issues. For a while, once every TWO weeks!!!! I ended up going to the gastro and getting Miralax. I altered my diet to include whole grains. Now I take psyllium pills before every meal. At the time my surgeon mentioned Milk of Magnesia and Colace; however, neither worked for me. Go to a doc.

Thank you, everyone, for your great suggestions! The problem seems to have resolved on its own I really am still eating very little, so I don't know if I should expect to be any more "regular" than I am. Maybe as I increase the amount of food I am eating, it will be better.

I have had constipation problems since my surgery...I take Miralax also....For a while I took Zelnorm, but I had heart palpitations from it so I discontinued it. I think you may be eating too little, and you are probable unused to how little you really need to get rid of, remember, you are eating so little that your body probably uses most of what you consume. It will probably get better on its own...but if you are really uncomfortable, talk to your doctor. don't add fiber too quickly, because it can cause severe gas pain, add it very gradually and you will have better results.... Take Good Care, Kelly
