hanging skin???
It can vary with the amount of weight you've lost, how long you were obese, where you carried your weight, your age etc. I lost 110 lbs after a lifetime of obesity, I'm middle-aged, and I could not stand the feel and look of my hanging skin. In clothing, you'd never guess what I looked like naked! So, plastic surgery to get rid of the excess skin is sometimes a medical necessity, sometimes a personal necessity. Do I regret having wls because of the hanging skin? NEVER! It is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I've never regretted it...I'm 3 yrs+ post rny. Julie
I just finished reading your profile and Lady, .you are amazing. I did look at your pictures and you are amazing again. I am waiting for a date for my surgery, but I love reading all the posts. I don't post/reply too often, just lurk around. Again, you have done great,
I just hope that I can do as good. I have my fears, but I know that they are just that, fears, not reality. I think my worst fear is failure, which, I know everyone has in this situation. I too have an aversion to exercise, but I know it's an important part of losing weight. But, you keep going girl, you're AMAZING. Sorry, I can't seem to stop saying that.

Hi.
So far I've lost 156 pounds and yes I do have some hanging skin...but...I look damn good in cloths and I will have plastic surgery once I am at my goal. I need to take off about 30 more pounds.
Seriously though...we do this for our health. Having a healthy life is much more important than a little hanging skin. One thing at a time.
Another thing that will help with the skin is EXERCISING!! Muscle tone will cover a multitude of sins.
Good Luck and think positive.

I would like to recommend to you all body lotion with caffeine in it. Last year after I had dropped about 80 pounds, my arms looked pretty loose, not to mention discolored. I started using the Sephora super-loaded body lotion, and after a month or so, my arms looked perfectly normal again. Not skinny, but no longer saggy and bruised looking.
I'm hoping that it gives me a serious hand after surgery, too.
