Funny, when I hit that number on the calendar, it made me cry. Now, I hit it on the scale and it made me cry for a whole different reason! I had my 1 month post op check up yesterday, and I am down 40 pounds! I can't believe it! The doctor said everything looked good, except I have one incision that is still open. We were treating it with just neosporin and a band-aid, but now have to put peroxide on it too. I am clear now to go back to normal activities, so I can lift the baby He also recommended more cardio at the gym and not the weight training the trainer recommended. I feel so good about losing this weight. I hope I have finally found the tool that will get me where I want to go!

Good job, Jacki!! Doesn't it feel good to have all that weight gone forever? I am eating a little bit of whatever I can get in. I am concentrating on fish - there was a sale on salmon this week, so I picked up some of that. Fish is the easiest thing to get in right now. I have also had a couple of spoons of cream cheese (like a teaspoon a day), and two of the low carb peanut butter. I haven't had any nausea, but I can definitely tell you there are foods I can't eat right now - ground beef being a big one. I did okay with chicken too, but I haven't really eaten much in the way of veggies, other than mashed potatoes. I mostly drink water. I love the taste of tea, but I've been doing a lot of running around, so I haven't had a cup in a week or so. I also bought those drink mix-ins in a whole variety of flavors so I could try things. There is a cranberry-pomegranate one that's pretty tasty - no sugar, no calorie kind of thing. Are we allowed caffeine yet? I can't seem to find a good tasting, sugar free, decaf iced tea, and I'm dying for a glass of iced tea! I hope your nausea passes quickly. I am struggling with protein - how about you? I ordered some to make a drink that a friend showed me, but it's taking forever to show up. You're doing great, Jacki! You keep up the good work, too

I'm going to Royal Fitness in Barrington. They have a nice daycare for the girls, lots of classes, a decent pool, and the staff is so nice I was going to look at Future Fitness, but when we saw Royal, and since it's right down the street from us, we just signed up there.
