Choosing A Surgeon - A Journey
I do understand that. It is a very expensive procedure. Although I would, of course, prefer my insurance pay for the procedure, I am prepared to finance it if I get turned down by my insurance. Fortunately, I knew about the 6 months of documentation Aetna requires and my doctor started documenting months ago when I first started considering the surgery. I hope you are able to find a doctor who accepts your insurance and who you are comfortable with.
hi
i used dr. earl noyan, who operates out of robert wood johnson in Hamilton.
he was great, and always answered all my questions and concerns.
he does not have a big time operation if this is a concern of yours. he took my insurance which is blue cross/horizon POS.
hope everything works out for you.
I had Dr.Pupkova-I absolutely love her-she's like no doctor I have ever met-caring and truly interested in you as an individual. She was with Dr.Bertha and Abkin but is now on her own.She took me on even though my case was complicated and did an excellent job-I have lost 110 pounds since surgery in June 2005.Her number is 973 338-9200 and she is in Bloomfield.

I also had Dr Nussbaum recommended to me by 3 different people, so he was my first choice. I, too, was disappointed when I found out he didn't participate with my insurance but I found out his partner Michael Bilof does, so I met with him. I am still involved in the Aetna pre-op dance, but I'm happy with Bilof, and gotta believe I was lead to him for a reason. I think you'll like him.
