Toms River support group meeting?

Hello, can anyone tell me when the next support group meeting is being held in Toms River???

Hi Barbara -- the OCWLS group always meets the first Friday of each month at Community Medical Center, Aud A. Of course, that means that September's meeting will be Friday, September 1st at 7pm -- we know that it is the start of the holiday weekend, but if we don't use the day, we don't have much flexibility with the hospital of rescheduling, so we're going to keep it. there is another support group in toms river that meets at community medical center in one of the meeting rooms every Thursday at 7:00 to 9:00 pm. the group is only for people who have had the surgery. I go to both meeting. Hope you can attend. laura

I guess that leaves me out.....I haven't had surgery yet....and its not gonna be RNY either. Is there a lap band support group anywhere??? I really want to meet with others before I have this done. Thanks

Hey Barbara -- the second group that Laura mentions on Thursdays at CMC is for post ops only. However, the group that meets on Sept 1 and on future first Fridays is for both post and pre ops. Additionally, we have both RNY'ers and Lapbanders that attend. Hope you can make the Sept 1st meeting. Hugs, Nannette
