How soon after surgery can you drive? I have not taken any of my pain med since there was no pain. Just curios if I need to get out for awhile. Thanks Tommy

my doctor says in about 2 weeks , but I was driving in about 1 week. I felt that I was ok to drive , because I wasn't on the pain meds and the steering wheel didn't touch my belly. Also I didn't drive anywhere alone until the 2 weeks were up.

I honestly drove the day after I was release from the hospital. I felt pretty good and had no pain so I figure I should go out and get some fresh air. I didn't drive far, just to the pharmacy to pick up medication. Carla

I drove two weeks after surgery. I didn't feel up to it the first week. I was kinda loopy from the anesthesia.
