I have been scheduled for the lapband surgery on this coming friday 8/18 and if there is anyone out there who is willing to help me through this journey i'm about to embark on it will be nuch appreciated

Hello Kia, Dr. Bilof did my surgery for RNY on 04/12/06 and I've lost 60lbs so far. You are about to begin a new journey in your life and no matter how much preparation you do, you will never be prepared for what will lie ahead. Get ready for plenty of attention by family, friends and coworkers. Be prepare to go through a complete 360 degree change physically, but more importantly, mentally. Kia: I had lap band surgery on 7/17. I'm almost 4 weeks out and by no means an expert but I will pray for you and would be happy to try and any questions you may have if I can. You will be fine. The whole surgery only takes about an hour. Will they be keeping you overnight or will you go home the same day? Donna
