Hi, Pat I just got home also. I am finding it easier to get the fluids in through drinking tea than plain water. I can get some water in, and I am not hating it, but the tea just feels better.

hi welcome home!! just drink the best u can every hour, the point is to keep you hydrated, not to check off every time you drink four ounces. also some alternate sugar free fluids might give you a break taste wise, i just mix it up every day good luck, jacki

Pat~ I am so glad you are home and all is OK! Sheri and I were thinking about you on the cruise, and were asking if either of us had heard anything. I can let her know you are OK. Please tell me all about your experience when you have time, I am so curious... since I am heading to the same place in 3 weeks. SO glad you are doing well! Drink and walk, and try to rest too!! Pat~ Thanks so much for calling me this morning-you sounded so much better than I expected someone to sound 1 week post op! I was so encouraged by your telling me that you had no pain, just felt uncomfortable. That is wonderful news, I am so glad that you are not miserable and in pain. I know God is watching over you and keeping you safe and out of pain. You also said to be prepared for the "head hunger", which I am sure is something every post op "food addict" has to deal with, I know I am going to mourn my friend being gone and will shed quite a few tears over losing her! I am ready, at least I think I am ready, it will hit me after surgery I am sure. Is there anything to do to prepare for this? I am going to do a liquid diet for the week before surgery, I am going to do Slim Fast, hopefully that will be a beginning, and it won't hit me too hard after surgery. Any suggestions on getting prepared for the "head hunger" after surgery? Thanks! Michelle
