7 mth check up - a bit upset
went to see the surgeon - havent lose any weight - we were both disappointed - him more than me which made me upset to the point that upon leaving the office i stared to cry - Donna (office mgr / bypass pt) was really sweet as always and told me to do a food journal for the next 2 weeks and to email her that she would work with me - she is really good - god bless her. he really made me feel like a failure- you know I am down 99 lbs from my heighest 319 and 70 from surgery (290)- i feel good (sometimes) I am so happy that I can go in the regular section in the store - granted I have to but an xl - but hey way better than 3xl (smaller than a 1xl) sohit damn it I should not feel like a failure - ... till next time america Jo
You are right!! You should feel good about yourself. I am going into my 7th month to and lost 85lbs I feel great and if I stopped loosing today it doesnt matter. I can move better feel better and yes I can shop on the other side of the store to.
Keep your chin up the Dr. is to there make sure you do not have any complications problems from the surgery. Of all people he most know not every one can be a size 3. My surgern at a support group meeting even said not everyone will get down to what insurance charts say is the right weight the most important thing is to loose enough to get more to a more healthy state.
Good luck with everything. Keep being happy for your self.

Boy do I remember that feeling....The scale was so frustrating sometimes...I would be working very hard and not see the results...Sometimes our bodies slow down weight loss because we are not getting enough calories.
I agree with the Donna...Food Journal...be aware of what you are eating...Also not getting enough protein can result in a slower weight-loss...Check this out. You need to get at least .8 grams of protein per Kilogram of body weight if you are a healthy person (Kg are your weight divided by 2.2) If you have health concerns you may need more, but if you have hypertension or Kidney disease you may need less so check with your doctor or dietitian before changing your protein consumption.
Most importantly...You are no failure...Just think, when was the last time you started a year lighter than you were the year before...99 lbs is nothing to be ashamed of...Shame on your doctor for making you feel bad...He should have helped you explore reasons for your slower weighloss...not make you feel ba about it...
