welcome, my advice is to just sit back and enjoy the ride . Start taking your vitamins and get in as much protein as possible,so you can bulk up your muscles for the ride. You'll be fine just stay positive and keep on posting , everyone on OH was so much help when I had my surgery on July 19th.

I felt the same way, I am now 1 week postop and not feeling too shabby.Keep yourself busy this week, it helps, and don't doubt your decision, only you know why you made that decision in the first place. How about support groups? there is one in Toms River this Fri. night 7-9 p.m. at community hospital right of the parkway.they really help a lot. Also skim over all different forums on this website, it has been a wonderful place to get info and learn some new things along the way, good luck and keep us all posted.

keep asking questions -- relax -- everything will be fine and just keep asking OH and your Surgeon and your PCP -- any pain call your dr. -- good luck roberta

Thanks everyone for all of your advice. It's really helped me calm down a bit. What things should I buy prior to surgery, like protien shakes, beverages, soft foods? What help you guyz the most?
