Good for you, Leann! You are a brave and courageous person making a decision as big as this. You will feel so much better after you've lost weight. I can tell you that, for me, I was tired for a while after surgery but I had resigned from job so there wasn't a big rush for me to get back to work. I have a friend that went back after two weeks and worked 1/2 days the first week she went back to work. Just wait and see how you feel. Your body will let you know. As for the weight, I lost about 30 pounds the first month but I also have lots to lose. I have lost 150 pounds so far. I went from a size 34 to a 24 in 10 months. It's the best thing I could have done for myself. I also go the gym four to five a weeks doing strength training and cardio. Best of luck to you. You will be in my thoughts and if you have any questions, please feel free to email me. Hugs, Nancy

Energy levels and amount of weight loss in the first 2-3 weeks varies from individual to individual... whether or not you'll need to take it easy for return to school will be something only you will know for yourself at that time, I think. Good luck! - cbf

Leann: I had Dr. Ibrahim also. I went back to work after a week. Yes, you will be tired, but they find that the faster you go back to work instead of giving into the tiredness, the more weight you lose. Talk to Christine Robinson at Ibrahim's office to discuss this issue. Angela
