I am home
Hi rebecca,
Welcome home! Glad to hear it wasn't so bad! I am having my surgery on 7/25...(in two days) at Hackensack University Medical Center also, but with Dr. Ballantyne. I also thought the hospital was very nice when I went for my pre-op testing. Any words of wisdom about the hospital or the staff that I should know. It's always nice to hear it from someone who has been there. I have read that they have an entire floor for bariatric surgery patients...is this true? Did you have a roomate or a private room? I would appreciate any info that you can give me so I will have an idea of what to expect. Feel good, and I'll see ya on the losing side soon enough!!

hi Jill, yes they have a floor just for the WLS patients, I have a latex allergy and I had my own private room, it was small but it was nice having my own room, the staff was great on the 7-3 shifts all the days I was there the first 3-11 and 11-7 the aides weren't that good didn't ask if I needed help or anything the other 2 nights they were great, just remember to get up and walk and u will do fine
