What do I Need At Home After Surgery?
I have two weeks left, and I'm trying to get all of my ducks in a row. What types of things should I have on hand for when I come home? I plan to do some cooking next week so the family has food to rely on, but I don't know what I'll need. Any suggestions for stuff I won't be able to live without? I'm on clear liquids for a week.
SF Jello
SF Puddings
Protein drinks or mixes
1% milk or skim milk
broths
cream of whatever soups (read the labels)
SF drink mixes (you'll tire of plain water)
SF popsicles
SF fudgcicles
a body pillow from walmart 8.88 to hold up against yourself
your vitamins
and a loud mouth so everyone can hear you when you need something!!!! use your famly members!!! you have slaved over them for all these years -- it is YOUR turn!!
and if you need anything -- anything at all -- i live right down the street!! don't hesitate to call!! phone number is in email -- i only work in Mt. Laurel and i can swing by on my way home from work!! take advantage of everyone!!!!!!

I had my surgery with Dr. Michael Bilof who is Dr. Nausbaum's partner. I would suggest loading up on broth, sugar-free popsicles, protein shakes, jello, decaf tea with sugar-free sweetner. I would also suggest a very comfortable pillow to make your sleep more comfortable and also have stretch pants so you don't have any discomfort around your stomach.
Good Luck,
