Surgery Scheduled July 25th! Can't believe it went RIGHT THROUGH!!!
I saw Dr. Chau, Dr. Brolin's Associate and their office team May 10th! They said it was possible to schedule my surgery for July (I didn't believe them)!? I REALLY THOUGHT THEY WERE PULLING MY LEG! They said to get a psychiatric clearance. I called and had an appointment in June and went to my GP who said I should go with it. She said one of her nurses had surgery a year ago and she brought her in. We talked for a little while and I really felt GOOD about her choice as well! ANYWAY I went back to NJ Bariatric a few days after I saw the psychiatrist and it was ALL CLEAR! SO EASY! Maybe it's my BMI, maybe the fact that I've been on more diets than I can count and done the pills thing, maybe that I am on Medicare Only. I am scheduled for July 25th and have already had all my pre-operative testing! A few months ago if you told me it would be this easy for me to have this surgery, with an excellant surgeon I would have thought you crazy! I am overwhelmed with all the help and thoughtfullness these Doctors (and their team) have given me! HALLELUYAH!!!!!
Yes! I live in the apt complex on a small hill. It cut us off one way on Trenton Ave (Rte 29) Delaware River's 3rd flood in a year and a half! I feel SO horrible for the home owners! All I could do was give some $$$'s to the Red Cross. I wish they would look for a solution. This whole area is devastated and it is SUCH a lovely town. Anyone wanting to look at the town's homepage can go here:

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your concern! I am so happy about the surgery too!
Congratulations Sandy! I read your profile and you think you are older then most of us here but you don't say your age. I was 45 when I had my surgery with doctor Brolin and everythng went smoothly from start to finish. He is my savoir and I am sure he will be yours also. If you need anything or have any questions that I can help with, I am here for you. Have a fabulous journey!

Thanks Jean! I'm 52 now, but this weight is really starting to take a toll on me physically. I watch my 16 month old granddaughter and just can't keep up with the angel! Maybe it's the strain of menopause but I NEVER used to get sick and last year I had mono (at 51)? Now I have Lyme's (Hunterdon County's big prob). I'm afraid of getting diabetes and a heart condition later (metabolic syndrome Dr. Brolin's dietician said) I'm having Dr. Chau and I REALLY like him. Dr. Brolin has SO much experience and Dr. Chau is the only Dr. in his group - he must be special - so I feel very confidant with them! I'm just SO HAPPY it went thru. The operation will just be the beginning, but I'm so happy to be ABLE to feel better about myself and a healthier life. Thank you for your reply! I'm excited but also a little scared (no surprise to you I'm sure)! I have to get out of the hospital soon so I can take care of my granddaughter again. My daughter needs my help in order for her to hold her job.
