hi i just joined i live in manchester nj im hoping to have surgery this summer and im really nervous im looking for a local support group hope to talk to some of u soon

Hi Jackie -- welcome aboard - you'll find lots of good people here. If you live in the Manchester part of Ocean County, you are nearby several good support groups. First, is the Ocean County WLS Group that meets in Toms River the first Friday of each month at Community Medical Center - Aud A - 7-9pm. Second is actually the same group that meets in Lakewood the third Thursday of each month at Kimball Medical's Center for Healthy Living on Prospect Street - also 7-9pm. Hello Jacki~ I am Michelle and I live in Brick. I am having surgery July 27 with Dr. Trivedi @ Hackensack University Medical Center. Please, please, please come and join us all at the support group at Kimball Medical Center that Nannette mentioned above, it's this coming Thursday night. If you can't make it this time, there is also the same group at Community Medical Center the first Friday night of each month. The support group will help you to feel better about making an informed decision on the surgery. It's a great group of very nice, caring and sincere people, most have had the surgery, some as recent as a month ago, many have had it years ago... and they will tell you anything you want to know.
