denied?? approved??
APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!! as of 3:11pm on 6/5/06 it is official!!!! Kirklands office is going to set up my cardiologist and pulmonary and nutritionist -- now for the bad news -- i'm pretty sure that i will have to wait until september or october when my treatments for Hep C are over -- but who knows -- my liver dr might agree to it since i feel like crap every day anyways and the only real concern is my blood count is really really low -- but we will see -- i see my liver dr on wednesday -- but who cares!! the only thing to care about right now is that APPROVAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS! I know that is a big hurdle to get over, I am so worried about being denied right now.
I met with my primary care over a month ago and gave him the photo copy of what the insurance company wanted him to write in a letter to them. I called the office today to get a copy of it to take with me tomorrow to the surgeons office, and they told me it's still in dictation and won't be ready by tomorrow. I was so discouraged. I am so disappointed. I saw the doctor a month ago already, what can take so long to get a letter written? I told the nurse that I must have something tomorrow to take to the surgeons office from my primary care physician! She said she would call me back, now it's 5:00 and they are closed. This is really upsetting me.
What do I do now? Anyone have any suggestions? I am guessing since I don't need a referral to see the surgeon that the surgeon has no idea if my primary care physician is in favor of me having the surgery or not? I don't know what to do. My appointment tomorrow is at 1:00pm, so I need to leave here by 11am... I am planning to stage a "sit in" at the doctors office tomorrow morning!
