Hi I've been reading that lots of folks get their results of sleep tests very quickly. The center I used says it will take at least 2-3 weeks for results, its the only test I needed from my surgeon . i cannot get a date until they have the results and then I have to use the cpap for at least 6 weeks before the surgery. Ugggh it's so frustrating has anyone else had a similar problem or suggestions on how to proceed. I liked the center overall but this delay is very disheartening. http:/www.sleepcarecenter.com

been on bi-pap for 10 years, thats not uncommon a turnaround especially with the boom that the centers are doing now a days , and the requirement of being under therapy for 6 weeks if most important for your survival post op, if you have apnea so it is well that you relax and go with the flow. Its is takeing an congressional act to get my surgical approval, (really it is) . about a year now, so waiting is part of the system.

I feel your pain. Had my initial consult end of Feb. Had to get a mammogram, get a gyno check with pap, echo, upper endoscopy, pelvic and gall bladder ultra sound, mucho blood labs, abt, pft, and ekg. Alldone within 5 weeks. Then I called the pulmonologist. Almost 4 weeks to get an appt so he could schedule the sleep study. That took a month to get. Went on May 11 and still no results. They say maybe next week. My surgeon will not schedule surgery til I've been on a cpap for at least 2 weeks and get clearance from the pulmo. As of today my surgeon is scheduling surgeries for end of July. Soooo...if I'm lucky, I may be scheduled for September. I am so depressed. This has taken the wind from my sails. I had so hoped to have the surgery in May so I would be well on my way through the hot summer at a much smaller size. I have called and begged and cried. I was pacified and poo-poohed and basically told to wait. Hope yours goes quicker.
