Hello Everyone I have been discussing WLS with my old PCP for about a year now; due to a new insurance plan (NJ Family Care/AmeriGroup) I need a new PCP that has a positive attitude about weight loss surgery. I tried to look in the Provider Handbook for a PCP (which is really very impersonal ) and I visited a Dr. Das in Paramus NJ She was the worst, she wouldn't listen to what I was trying to tell her about my personal health issues or about WLS..... Someone please HELP!!!!!!!!!!! I found a surgeon that does take my plan Dr. Vazquez But I need to get a referral to see him. Whykka NNJ

I agree with the person *****plied to you previously. My bariatric surgeon referred me to a wonderful PCP who was very understanding about WLS. My prior PCP was totally against WLS which was the main reason why I changed my PCP and now I have a PCP who I am very pleased with. You should also ask family or friends as I am a big believer of word of mouth. I rather see a dr who has been a referral then choosing one from a book. Good Luck, Carla
