DR PUPKOVA - FLOREM PARK

Does anyone know why Dr Pupkova left Dr Abkin and Dr Bertha's practice? I know she is starting her own practice and is able to be contacted at morristown memorial, but I was just wondering if anyone knows why she left.

I was so shocked when they called me and told me she was no longer with the practice. I asked if she went to another practice, but you know the staff is trained to say "I don't know". I really liked her. If you find out any info. Please keep me posted.

I know that she is starting her own practice and is able to be contacted at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Dr Pupkova Did my surgery 11/28/05 and my aunt was in the process of scheduling her surgery, although when she found out Pupkova was gone, we started to look for her. My Aunt spoke with Dr Pupkova on friday and Pupkova said that she will be in practice within a month. So my aunt is going to wait for Pupkova to get her pactice started & do her surgery. I was just so happy with Pupkova and thought that she was just such a sweet and caring person that I want to continue to see her. Did pupkova do your surgery or are you pre-op?

She did emergency Lap Appendectomy on my husband Phil on April 29th, and we were told on Monday, May 1st that she was gone! She was a very kind caring DR. but seemed a bit rushed while Phil was in the hospital that weekend. And we were lucky that we were home for this emergency, not like last August! We had the followup with Dr. Abkin ( our WLS surgeon who we love) and were told that she is a very good Dr., but I got the feeling that the Dr.(s) in the practice saw things differently, and she decided to leave. I don't think there is any question about her ability. People are different, and Drs may have different styles and may not always see things the same way as other Drs do. Who knows - if she is starting her own practice, maybe she wanted to be more involved where she was, like a partner or something. I guess all offices have "politics" to deal with. Phil is doing fine by the way - he had a lower body life on March 1st and was just about to go back to work on May 8th - the the appendix thing happened and now he is out for 4 more weeks! That makes 4 surgeries since his WLS on 08/02/2004! I told him that's it now! Take care, Sherri
