For those that do not know our brother in WLS - Bill Walker ( WillBThin ) has had a set back from complications from his RNY last week . Will has developed a Septic Infection. He is in Critical Condition at St. Mary's Hospital here in Richmond VA . His wife Stephanie is by his side .
He is currently on life support and a kidney machine . His fever is being controlled with antibiotics and a cooling blanket .
If you would like to send cards to Will and Stephanie ,I ask that you send them to me . I am putting together a basket of things for them and will include all of your cards .
I am so thankful for those that have reached out and prayed for all concerned . Please Please continue to do so .

Hi Wanda
I had my surgery in Bismarck on March 1. Things are going pretty good. Dr. Bruderer was my surgeon. He was great. I would do this again in a heartbeat. It does take some getting used to though. I have lost a total of 67 lbs. since Jan. 30. That was my first visit to Dr. Bruderer. I have been at a standstill for a week and a half. But that is normal from what I read on the site. If you would like to chat drop me an email I will gladly answer any questions you might have. By the way, I am 52 years old and wanted to have the surgery so that I too could chase after my grandchildren. It is already easier.

Topic: WEIGHT FALLING OFF!
I had my surgery 9 days ago and the weight is falling off. I was 308 when I went in and now I am 290. That is 18 lbs in 9 days. Not complaining but anyone else loose fast? or is this normal?

I HAVE A SURGERY DATE! 
I will be having my RNY on Monday, June 5th! I can't wait! I will start my 2 week liquid diet on May 22nd.
I can't wait to see you on the OTHER side!

yup my surgery is here in Grand Forks im looking forward to getting it done, and going on with my new life. as far as questions i have about a million of them but their so jumbled about it's hard to know which ones to ask lol. most are silly ones i know the answers to allready but i guess what i need most of all is just some reasurance that there is life after WLS that im not dooming to a life of never ending suppliments, blood tests, and microscopes. which i guess when you look at it is basicly what im looking forward to anyway if i continue on my current path

I am having my surgery in Fargo. I am from a small town in North Dakota called Ashley. I am 56 and a mother, wife, and grandmaother and want to be able to run after all the little ones. We just moved my parents to be close so have alot of support.
Spouse is a teacher so had to wait till summer when school is done. I am having surgery with Dr. Howell anyone have him? I have a daughter that lives in Grand Forks , she is a teacher at Wilder.

Kandi- are you having surgery in Grand Forks? It is totally normal to be nervous. This is a major surgery you are going to have, but I had such total faith in my doctor, I knew it was all going to be alright and it was. No complications what so ever. You will do just fine. Hi Wanda- Welcome to OH. I dont frequent the ND board often as you can tell, there isnt much activity. I usually go to the main board. Where are you having your surgery? June 2nd is right around the corner

We are in the final testing stages on the beta site for the NEW look for Obesityhelp. If you haven't looked please do so.
http://beta.Obesityhelp.com The full roll out will probably be sometime tomorrow afternoon. The site will be totally different, many of the same things, just better organized and added features.
This change is essential for the many features that have asked for, uploading your own photos, profile privacy options, profile blogs, private messaging, etc. These will NOT all be in place for the change over, but will be coming VERY soon after the beta site is live. We have listened to member concerns with the site and message boards and are working on those things one step at a time.
Be advised that we don't anticipate any problems, however anytime that you make changes, you never know what may happen. We will quickly address any issues that come up during the changes.
Thanks for your patience as we strive to give you what you have asked for. :)
