Hey Robin,   Feel free to add me and vent; this IS a very emotional time and let me tell ya, I did have my last buffet a week before surgery..LOL.  Now I'd give anything to eat anything that tasted normal.   It's a new beginning for ya and chance at a whole new life. I won't lie to you and say it won't have it's bumps along the way but you have the courage to endure; you overcame the hurdle of deciding to go the surgery route.   I wish you luck and hugs and I'm here for ya, surgery buddy :)

I am new to this site today so I am trying to figure out where everything is on this site and how it works lol. I am in Minot and going to Dr. Kavlie. I start my diet on the 7th and surgery is on the 21st. Just last night I think it's sinking in and I am so excited and extreamly nervous. I am really fighting the erge to go to a buffet the last few days before my diet but that would defeat the purpose of why I am doing this. It's really hard right now and my emotions are all over the place (i've been weening myself off sugary stuff the last few days). I'm not sure what else to say, I gues if you have any questions or curiosity ask away! -Robin

I have my pre-op on June 5th, surgery July 2nd.  I think I start my liquid diet about the 15th of June.  It is starting to feel real finally.

So the February 2007 Surgery board is lacking some energy - have you checked in lately??  I have heard folks say their surgery sisters and brothers are a main source of support.  Take a minute, check in and let's get this board hoppin'!!!  We're keepin' the light on for ya'.....
