Hello All, I'm just wondering if you chose to tell your co-workers prior to WLS. I work in a small office with me being the largest by 150lbs. They are nice ladies but I don't want to feel that I need their approval. What did the rest of you do? Kadie

Hi Kadie! My surgery is scheduled for May 2, and I've told everyone I know. I work in a large insurace company customer service center and know many people who have had the surgery. All of my co-workers have been very supportive of my decision. If this is the decision you have made, its your life and your health. You shouldn't worry about whether they approve or not. If they care about you they will be supportive or hopefully keep their mouth's shut if they don't approve. Good luck with your surgery and weight loss! Shannon

I work in a 2 person office, so I had to tell, LOL. And it was funny when I did, cause she said she has been thinking of having the surgery herself! A lot of our customers have noticed the change but I also changed my hairstyle (in preparation of the hair loss) and people have seen that 1st cause I sit behind a desk that is higher in front. I am sure you will have support from your co-workers. Best of luck. Sue
