Frustration ... Now have Surgery Date

Does anyone have ideas on how to get to speak to someone at Sanford.  I got insurance approval and am all ready to go.  Was told December surgery schedule full and they would call as soon as January schedule opened up.  Well a neigbor of my best friend already has her surgery schedule for Jan 5th.  I have called twice (they always want to take a message) and have received no phone call back from anyone at Sanford.  Am so ready to get to the next step.

Any ideas/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Congrats! You are now in deeper to the hula hoop hurry and wait mess. We all went through it. The nurse to the doctor you will be having surgery with will call you as soon as they have everything in order. Sometimes you get the notice from insurance before they get theirs. Most of us have been in the same place as you are right now. You want it to hurry up and get done so you can start in on your new life. It will happen, patience grasshopper LOL

In the mean time there is a support group meeting in the auditorium on Dec 14Th at 630 pm. It is a festive meeting where people are bringing healthy snacks to share and just enjoying some fellowship. It is a good group of people.

If that is not your cup of tea we are having a small coffee get together with like 4 or so people this coming Friday (17Th) @ 6pm. The place we are having coffee at is called Luna's coffee it is on Univ in Fargo. It is located by Bernie's Liquors. You don't have to like coffee to join us LOL it is a small fun group, laid back just to get together and enjoy each other and gather new/old info on weight loss.
Feel free to contact me for anything. Maybe if you come to coffee, we will meet. I will be there- will you?

Thanks so much for the reply, sorry haven;t been on here in a few days.  Sorry I missed the support group, I do want to attend but I also am working 2 jobs right now so its gonna be a hit and miss, same for the coffee.  I dont think I work Friday night so might be able to make that.

I have a date January 11th of 2011.  They called me back today while I was in a meeting and got their message.  I am so excited.

Look forward to meeting and hope I get to the coffee on Friday night.

who is you surgeon?

OMG they finally called me back!! 

I have been so busy at work I haven't had a minute to call them again and I got out of a meeting at 10:30 this morning and had a message!!

I now have a surgery date Jan 11, 2011    I start my liquid pre-diet on Dec 28th and my pre-surgery appt with Dr Garcia is Jan 6th (He's on vacation till 1st week of Jan).

I am so excited I can barely think. 

Pam,  Best of luck to you as you prepare for your surgery on Jan. 11th.  I hope everything goes smoothly and remember to reach out when you have questions.  The FM area has some really wonderful people that will encourage and support you along your journey.
