The mindless....
things we do. The list could go on and on. I have had mindless times since surgery. Times where I just done things without thinking. Most of those things involved food in some shape or form. When people are first out of the starting gate, we pull ahead,we want to be a huge success and let nothing get in our way! A price will be paid by the piper that slows us down.
I remember "testing" out different foods. Sometimes the foods didn't go so well, I would leave those out of my plans for a bit. Yes, I would try them again and again, in hopes they would/will sometime work. Do they always work out in the end? I will never have an answer for that questions as life is now all about trial and error.
I have embarked on new levels of trial and error in life now, and have moved past the food chains. I have found pleasure in exercising and yes, that was trial and error too! Some things I tried to push past my known limits, thinking maybe, just maybe I can do it this time. People we have to give ourselves time to learn and grow. I found this a hard step.
A couple of the things I have found I can do (in short bits) is to run. I do not get much pleasure out of it- but I can do it! I always had the logic you only need to run faster then the person chasing you! You only need to twist and turn to dodge bullets... the list goes on. Seeing as I live in a place of what I deem safe, I usually don't need to do those two things listed above!
One thing I did the other day that was mindless- I went to go to the upper level of the school, taking 2 to 3 steps at a time. Yes, I skipped steps going UP. What got into me- I have no clue. Was it planned?no. Was I winded? NO. I didn't even realize I was doing it, until I got to the top of the steps. It was kind of a WOW moment.
Just a little thing to share, with those who might also do mindless things, Let us all fess up- Have you done mindless things? Share with us other souls.
