I am still sore but that is because they found a 6 year old hernia I didn't know about and fixed that also while they were in there.

Felt a little lost coming home on what to eat etc . . but tom they want me to start the puree . . also hard trying to get down the cipro they prescribed me feel like I am on lots of meds also on blood thinners.

Welcome home you loser! Takes on a whole different meaning to be called a loser now!
Glad surgery went well and know your in caring hands with your other half there.

The tree puree meals were ok for me, I added a dash of salt/pepper to them for added flavor. Makes life easy with those on hand, by the time your done with those, you will not want to ever see them again LOL I cut my tree puree's into four meals and those helpings were a bit big some days too, best of luck.

Take the drugs as needed, sip lots of liquids, walk around as much as tolerated and take time to heal. All this is very important at this stage of the game. I will share with you now that you most likely wont get in the 60 oz or the 60 proteins right out of the gate, don't freak out about the numbers, do what you can and try to push that button more each time, it will all get better.

Keep us posted

Sorry I'm so late congratulating you on your homecoming.  Hope your healing process is going smoothly.  It's such a big adjustment!   How was your hospital stay?  I thought the staff at MeritCare were awesome.  How long are you off work?  I took 2 weeks.  That first week I thought there's no way I can go back in only 2 weeks but now I am getting anxious to go back.  I return to work on Tues. Sept. 8.  Just take it slow with the eating.  I got so tired of that puree that first week but I stuck with it.  I then tried to progress to regular food that was ground up or cooked to mush.  Things didn't stay down so I have continued with more liquids in my diet.  Yesterday I tried tuna and it stayed down and no cramping.  I also tend to rush thru my meals so it's been a challange to just take my time.  I do get full after a several bites anyway.  I also expected to see more weight loss right away but from others comments I see that isn't how it goes.  So, it's a journey and you learn along the way.  I go for my 2 week post op today, I am seeing Rachael, she is just wonderful!  Take care!  Any questions, just ask.

Im really late replying hehe. So far I have been good . . down 30lbs I had a stall a few days but I was struggling with my protein and once I got more in boom I lost a bunch in a day. . I have been ok with most foods so far except my hubby tried to make turkey loaf and that made my stomach just hurt. . also my banana creme protein makes my stomach hurt too I hope I can take it back. .certain foods just don't appeal to me so I haven't tried them yet figure if they make me gag thinking about it I better wait to try so I don't actually throw up . . I noticed a good chunk in the love handle top butt area kinda dropped off from existance and it has thrown my whole body out of whack so I have hurt pretty bad and my tummy hasn't liked me today I sure hope it gets better soon for the stomach I may have to go in for it, it just doesn't feel right.

I hope you are doing well take care
