Clothing issues or have I become....

Snooty?

Greetings!

I know in the past I have posted about some clothing issues. It was bras, if memory serves me correctly.

Today is a tad bit different. I was reviewing the before and after pictures of members on OH. I often go there just to remember how far this surgery allows us to come, if we work our tool right.

The thing I find about looking at the pictures is that, most peoples choices in clothing -changes. In others not so much. I know once we lose weight the venue of clothing choices expands beyond belief, this is a grand thing!

For me as the choices opened up and I started replacing items, the one item style I no longer wanted in my closet was the baggy shirts. What was out there? lots of shirts that looked like maternity wear! I did NOT want those kinds of clothes. I wanted things that were more form fitting.

I know for some people, extra skin is the issue and we have to allow for that issue. The one thing I am wondering is, do others feel this same way? We were trapped in baggy clothes to "cover" us up, what is your style like now?

My number one issue is still bras!  We need to find go support for the girls/what is left of them. Make those puppies stand up! don't let then hang like flower baskets!

Ok, that is my take on this issue, looking forward to hearing others comments.

Oh I hear ya on this.  What I find interesting is that I'm paying more attention to what other people are wearing and find it appalling!  Since when has the muffin top become something to flaunt?  Yikes.  Yet apparently that's the "style"--skin tight.  It's kind of challenging to find tops that fit the form, but don't cling like a second skin to every lump and roll of flappy flesh.

As for the bras.... I found an excellent site that carries unusual sizes:  biggerbras.com  I was overwhelmed with the selection, considering that I've been looking all over to find a size 30FF.  I ordered from them 3 days ago, and my order arrived today.  The only drawback is that if what you ordered doesn't fit, you can't just return them--you have to exchange.

I am having fun shopping again! Because I don't know what fits or what looks good, I've been trying all kinds of styles. I haven't been buying too many shirts yet. I bought a couple tank tops for vacation, but it will be interesting what I'll find for this fall and winter.

And I noticed today on my recent pictures and when I tried to put a spaghetti strap top that "the girls" are definitely dragging. I need to find something to lift them back up to the chest! LOL.

Watch them girls carefully!! In the blink of an eye they become M.I.A!!! and NEVER return LOL

I refused to buy any tank tops- I had 15 of them in my dresser, took 2.5 to 3 inches off each side (sewed) and ta da I have a whole drawer still of tank tops, only now they fit!

I have stocked up on plenty of shirts/sweaters/vests for fall and winter. I now have to start hunting for more dress pants for work.

Kind of a NSV, but yesterday I bought 3 bras at Victoria Secrets for the first time ever! They measured me and the bras were even on sale!
