Anyone else absolutely exhausted from this winter in general??  I know we think every year gets worse, but we went from rain, rain and more rain all of Oct., right to winter in Nov. to one of the coldest winters on record, not to mention record snowfall, and now floods???  I'm going crazy!  I just want to get outside!  It's freezing rain here with the possibility of another blizzard...my boys are driving me nuts stuck in the house....feels a LOT like 97!!  I guess atleast my surgery is done, but sunshine would go a long way right now!!!  Damn, we North Dakotans are some tough cookies!  Most places would be calling in FEMA by now just for the snow alone!

Laughs at the FEMA part!
I just keep telling myself only 16 more winters, that is all I have to make it through. Unless some fantastic job comes along down south and I move my plans ahead LOL
We are built tough!

How are you doing Jewels?  You aren't very far out.  I've been wondering how you were doing.  I am so looking forward to getting out and walking outdoors.  I am doing very well after my RNY November 19th, 2008.  75 lbs gone gone gone and I feel great !  Now some nice dry, warm, sunny and windless weather would put the icing on the cake for all of us, right?

Keep on Keeping on~~~~~~~~

I am also very tired of this winter stuff!  I started walking on my lunch breaks and it is not fun with all of the water and now snow. My kids have cabin fever and it is hard to keep them entertained.  Sometimes I feel like pulling my hair out but then again I am losing it fast enough so that probably is not a good idea:) We must be tough or crazy to stay here (I vote crazy!)

I know why we stay here.  Good people.  I was watching the nat'l news last night, they had a little blurb about all the people in Fargo pitching in to sandbag and prepare.  I couldn't help but note that the "tone" of the story was kind of incredulous.... that there were all these people helping out total strangers.  Boy, are we backwards or what?  Helping each other out.  There must be something wrong with us North Dakotans.  I haven't heard any blame being thrown around yet either.

We had the freezing rain and thunderblizzard on Monday night... we've dug ourselves out and it's business as usual.  Just a "normal" ND winter like I remember as a kid.  We haven't had one of these in a long time, I guess we were overdue.
