Hello all

Hello everyone!  I am new to the board and didn't realize there was a ND board so I thought I would say Hi!  I had RYN on 12/5/08 and have lost a total of 66 pounds.  It has not been easy.  The first 7 weeks were terrible but I have started to feel so much better and have more energy.  I struggle with protein and water but I guess a lot of people do. My surgeon was Dr. Howell at MeritCare.  I have not made it to the support group meetings yet but plan on attending the March one.  Hope all is well with everyone!

Hi Stacey!  I live in GF, but travel through Fargo at least once every couple of months.  I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better.  I am also afraid of feeling like dog poop post-surgery, but will do it anyway :}  You've made awesome progress & I hope to lose as quickly!

If you travel through on a weekend maybe you would have time for a coffee of such.  I am at work during the week.

That would be nice, but the next 2 times will be travelling through will be a few days before surgery & then a couple weeks later, so I don't think I'll be drinking coffee, or much of anything aside from protein shakes.  I'll send you a PM next time, though, thanks for the offer!

Welcome to the board Stacey!

It is a slow moving board but we try to keep it going. Feel free to post anytime, the more the merrier.

66 pounds in just 3 months is wonderful!! I am glad your starting to feel better. It takes time, I was a slow starter on the feel good end too.

Look forward to seeing you at a group meeting. In March the Sports Medicine group/person will be at the meeting to talk to us. Becky tries to have a speaker there each month.

Have a wonderful weekend

Hi Stacey! Dr.Howell was my doctor too! I don't post on this board as often as I did at the time of my surgery but I've been trying to check in.

Glad to hear you are feeling better, you are doing fabulous!

Hi Stacey,

Welcome to the ND losers club! I don't spend a lot of time on the message board anymore, but check in once in awhile to see who has joined our group. Hope to meet you in person at a group meeting someday!
