Anyone contemplating plastics?

I am on the fence on this one, and lord knows I have a few problem areas after losing 100 lbs, but I had a consultation for a tummy tuck or pannilectomy.

I was somewhat encouraged to hear that BCBS of ND has been covering this procedure if you have lost 100 lbs or mopre.  Time will tell - the surgeon is writing a letter to my insurance, then I will see if I have something to consider.

Boy, talk about some extra tummy skin.......

Oh well, it still beats the alternative.  I'll keep y'all posted.

My younger sister had her upper arms done, her thighs and a tummy tuck. She's pretty happy with the outcome. She had to pay out of pocket for it. She had never worn anything sleeveless all her life until after she had this done.

Its good to see BCBS is receptive to this, I always heard that the insurance companies would only consider it if there was some kind of chronic rash.

I have said from the beginning I don't want to have any plastics done.  I figure I am at almost 50 and not looking to hook a man etc.. so as long as my body looks good in clothes I am good to go! LOL The only one that suffers is my Sig OT- he will just have to deal with it. I have no desire to go into more surgery. This frame of mind could change down the line but I stand firm right now. I guess if it was medically important then I would. Just seen Dr. G and he was pleased at how my tummy seems to be snapping back into shape. Yes, it is a shape LOL just not sure which shape it is.

I am so planning on it when i get to that point!  I will have lost b/w 140-150 pounds & I'm just as sure as the grass is green that I'll want it.  It really is a personal decision though.  Clothes will fit better!  If ins will pay, I would soooo do it.  I HAVE BCBS of ND.  I'm sooooo glad to know this!

Hey Lori.  How are you?  It is very encouraging to hear they will cover it.  I have Keystone HP East and would love it if they covered it.  THey are one of the Blues so maybe they will.  Lety me know how you make out.
